Adrenaline and adventure reach the highest level with this canyoning route dedicated to sportsmen and mountain lovers. Thrills, fun, a challenge to oneself and close contact with nature await you!
The Chalamy Torrent, near the Mont Avic Nature Park, in Valle d'Aosta, is very popular with canyoning enthusiasts because it promises varied, complete routes with many obstacles to overcome.
The "Sporting Spirit" itinerary alternates playful and technical sections in a succession of dives, slides, vertical walls and abseiling. It is designed to push you to push your limits, while always remaining safe thanks to the help of expert guides.
What we will do
We will meet in Champdepraz (AO) and after due introductions we will move by shuttle bus to a point near the canyon. After donning the wetsuits and all necessary equipment, we will carry out a briefing on the safety rules and the progression techniques.
We will reach the Chalamy stream with a few minutes' walk and... on with the adventure! We will embark on a adrenaline-filled and thrilling canyoning route, with tubes from rocky spurs up to 10 metres high and long slides, the natural slides carved out by the flow of water.
The route develops in a progressively more complex manner, with the first section playful and rather simple, leading to a moretechnical second section, where the environment becomes more enclosed, the gorges deeper and the walls higher and more vertical (up to 30 metres). The rope descents will be carried out independently, so you can experience the thrill of a real abseil on your own skin!
The guides will always be by our side to give us assistance and support and the higher jumps can be avoided, but for a truly memorable experience, the advice is to... jump in!
The activity lasts a total of 4.5 hours, of which 3.5 will be in the water. At the end of the canyoning trip, we will return to the cars, return our equipment, dry off and, if we feel like it, we can end the experience on a high note with lunch together in one of the contracted restaurants in the area.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at the intermediate level, you don't need to have canyoning experience but you do need to be in good physical shape, have a fair amount of confidence with heights and be familiar with water. You can participate from the age of 14 years upwards.

Caution! Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the start time of the activity.
This activity takes place in the months of July, August and September, subject to availability, with morning and afternoon departures.
In addition to the necessary equipment, the organisation will provide free waterproof camera and some helmets with GoPro mounts. Photos will be sent at no extra cost.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
