Experience the extraordinary thrill of a flight in a hot-air balloon, let the wind blow you away on the colourful balloon and admire landscapes of rare beauty from the wicker basket.
The quaint town of Mondovì, in the province of Cuneo, is considered one of the best places in the world to fly in a hot-air balloon thanks to its favourable winds and its special position: on clear days, you can admire the snow-capped Monviso on one side and the sea as far as Corsica on the other.
If you want to live or give the gift of an unforgettable experience, this is the activity for you!
What we will do
We will meet at dawn at the Aeroclub di Mondovì (CN). We will meet the rest of the group and the crew intent on preparing the hot-air balloon. There will be a briefing on behaviour and safety instructions, we will board the basket, and when the air inside the balloon is sufficiently warm, we will take off, experiencing a great thrill!
We will fly drifted by the wind and, whatever the direction, we will take a very scenic route, flying over the characteristic village perched on a hill and admiring the snow-covered peaks and the Langhe all around. On a clear day, the view will reach as far as the sea, making the experience even more evocative.
After landing, we will conclude the experience with a brunch accompanied by local products and the handing out of the flight certificate. At the end, we will be escorted by the ground staff back to the initial meeting point.
The total duration of the experience, including preparation, flight, transport and final toast, is 3 to 4 hours, of which approximately 40-60 minutes of actual flight time, depending on wind conditions.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is open to all those in good health, aged 8 years and over and with a minimum height of 130 cm.
Pregnant women and persons with joint and walking problems are not allowed to fly.
Persons with a body weight greater than 115 kg will be required to pay a surcharge of 50% of the fare.

The prices vary by week and weekend as follows:
- Monday to Friday: €219 weekend: €249
Balloon flights are closely linked to the weather conditions and they take place mainly at dawn to take advantage of the best winds and temperatures.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
