Hot air balloon ride over the medieval town of Cittadella

The sensation of touching the sky with your finger and looking down on the world from above will be priceless, and you will experience an extraordinary emotion that you will not easily forget!

The flight, which lasts about an hour, is the central moment of the experience, which begins with preparing the hot-air balloon together with the crew. Then you will fly over the town of Cittadella, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a veritable walled city that has remained intact since the Middle Ages. A truly unique leap into the past!

We provide the professionalism of the guides and the safety of the equipment, you provide curiosity and enthusiasm, and the rest is done by the magical atmosphere of dawn and the historical wonders of the mediaeval town of Cittadella, in the province of Padua.

What we will do

We will meet at Galliera Veneta, in the province of Padua, at least half an hour before departure. All together we will prepare the hot-air balloon and, once the air inside the balloon has warmed up, we will be ready to take off.

We will fly in peace and safety, captured by an expert pilot and carried by the wind, at its speed and direction. During the hour-long flight, we will admire from above the splendidmedieval landscape of Cittadella, the lush green Venetian plain and the loops of the River Brenta, which wind majestically embracing the surrounding land. It will be a truly magical and unforgettable moment!

At the landing, we will refit the hot air balloon together with the ground crew, who will take us back to our starting point.

The activity lasts a total of 2.5 hours, of which approximately 1 hour of actual flight time.

Who it is aimed at

No special physical abilities are required. The activity is suitable for anyone in good health. The only restrictions are for pregnant women and people with severe heart problems or limited mobility in their lower limbs. The minimum age allowed for the activity is 8 years.

Warning! You must arrive at the meeting point approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Important: you fly at dawn or dusk with varying times depending on the time of year and weather conditions, as well as, in exceptional cases, the take-off point. A few days before the activity you will receive an email from the pilot confirming the time and address. Always check the email before leaving!

The activity takes placeon Saturdays and Sundays on the dates indicated in the calendar only and is confirmed when minimum of 6 participants are reached.
