A tour by kayak is the best way to get an up-close look at the beauty of the Venice Lagoon and its islands. Immerse yourself in the enchanting lagoon environment and discover the hidden treasures of the Islands of Sant'Erasmo and delle Vignole.
If you want to experience the more authentic and lesser-known Venice, this is the activity for you! A pleasant walk on the water to discover lush vegetable gardens, hidden vineyards, ancient harbours and elegant residences. An experience not to be missed!
This approximately 2-hour kayak tour is suitable for everyone, even novices, and includes a guide, the necessary equipment and a basic tutorial on how to handle the kayak.
What we will do
The meeting will be at the bar of the Hotel Certosa, on the lagoon island of the same name (to get there you can use the 4.2 water bus). After the necessary introductions have been made, all equipment will be provided and the basic tutorial for kayak guiding will be given. We will teach you how to use the paddle and how to steer the boat so that you can move around independently on the water.
If this is your first experience in a kayak, don't worry, our guide will always be by your side to ensure that you have the best experience in total safety.
Our tour will take place between the islands of Vignole and Sant'Erasmo. Shortly after our departure we will come across the Forte di Sant'Andrea, a 16th century fortress built in defence of the Serenissima. We will continue along the island of Vignole, so called because historically it was the vegetable garden that supplied the city with vegetables and fruit. We will admire lush cultivations, verdant vineyards and small farms. We will pass by the old station of the Lazzaretto Novo, used for quarantine of ships arriving from the East at the time of the Black Plague. We will wander among the canals and sandbanks of Sant'Erasmo, where a large number of birds find refuge.
The activity lasts a total of 2 and a half hours and covers a distance of between 8 and 15 km, with a relaxing paddle suitable for everyone. It will be an unmissable walk on the water between history and nature!

This activity is easy level and no kayaking experience is required. The minimum age required is 12 years.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is very strict. You get a full refund if you cancel within 31 days from the activity start date. Within 30 and 15 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
