Quad tour in the beech forest of Oriolo (Lake Bracciano)

Driving a quad off-road is a fun and adrenalin-pumping activity, and doing it in one of the most beautiful areas of central Italy, on Lake Bracciano, will be an even more incredible experience for lovers of nature and motors.

The quad bike excursion will take place within the Regional Natural Park of Bracciano-Martignano, about 30 km from Rome. The area is full of trails suitable for 4-wheelers in full respect of the environment, close to the lake, with Panoramasnourishing wildlife.

In particular, we will enter the Beech forest of Oriolo Romano, a UNESCO heritage site, an ancient beech forest that has remained intact over time thanks to the lake's microclimate. Ready to warm up your engines?

What we will do

We will meet in Trevignano Romano (RM) and first we will have a briefing and a guiding test. Once our level has been established, the guides will decide on which variant of the route to carry out the excursion. After that, we will set off for the Beech forest of Oriolo Romano, a truly unique place due to its location. Usually, in fact, beech forests rise between 700 and 900 metres above sea level. Here, we are only 450 metres above sea level, and yet there is one of the most luxuriant beech forests in Europe.

The influence of the lake, with its microclimate and humid currents, guarantees lushness and provides an ideal habitat for many species of wild animals, such as hawks, foxes, wild boar or turtles. We will meet many of them along the way, so watch out for the accelerator!

We will ride on paths, dirt and gravel roads, and we will pass through particularly bumpy and potholed sections, to have fun and make the most of the power of the quads. We will stop at various viewpoints to take a few photos and try out silvotherapy, hugging a tree and recharging ourselves with positive energy!

Exiting the beech forest, we will stop at a bar for a drink and then continue on to the town of Bracciano. Souvenir photo with the lake behind us and return to the meeting point. The activity lasts 4 hours in total. For almost the entire route, the quad bike group will be followed by an assistance vehicle for any eventualities.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is of aneasy level and is open to all.

Riding a quad bike is permitted for peopleaged 18 to 70 with a B licence and in good physical condition. Adults and children aged 5 years and over are permitted to take adults and children on the quad bike as passengers.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time.

The activity can be undertaken every weekend from April to November, and every day in August, and will be only in weather conditions deemed suitable by the guide. 

The tour is conducted at a moderate speed and participants are required to follow the guide's instructions. Before departure, all participants will be asked to sign aliability release form (for minors, parents must sign).

The centre has4 quads for a maximum of 8 participants. The fee of €105 is per quad. In addition to the driver, one passenger may also travel on each quad, who will only pay the membership fee of €5. When booking, you will be able to select the number of drivers and passengers (who can, if necessary, swap driving). 

The annual membership to the Association is included in the participation fee.

The quads are equipped with packs to carry a backpack and water. Valuables can be deposited in a safety locker at the starting point.

It is possible to add to the quad bike excursion afarm lunch and/or a touristic tour of Lake Bracciano aboard the boat. These are extra activities to be paid for on site, ask the organiser after booking.

At the end of the activity photos and videos of the day will be sent by email free of charge.
