Rafting Fun on the Adda River in Valtellina

Discover a beautiful corner of nature in Lombardy and have fun taming the rapids of the Adda river, immersing yourself in the stunning scenery of the Valtellina. With this rafting descent, you will experience the adrenalin rush and thrills of this discipline to the full, even if this is your first experience.

With the help of expert guides, you will learn the techniques for navigating the raft in total safety and enjoy half a day of sport, nature and fun.And if that's still not enough excitement for you, you can dive into the river and swim across to the opposite bank, experiencing the thrill of current swimming.

What we will do

We will meet at the sports field in Tresenda, a hamlet of Teglio (SO), directly on the banks of the Adda. We will meet theguides and the rest of the group, be provided with all the necessary equipment, and have a briefing on the safety rules and behaviour to be adopted during the activity. After that, ready to board the inflatable rafts, we're off for an adventure!

We'll be doing an intermediate level descent, suitable for those taking part in rafting for the first time but who don't want to miss out on the adrenaline and thrills of the sport. During the course we will alternate between eventful stretches, where we will test ourselves by challenging the impetuous rapids of the river, and calmer moments where we can contemplate the surrounding nature, dominated by forests and mountains.

At specific points, we can leave the dinghy to dive into the pristine waters of the Adda, and those who wish can try their hand at current swimming from one side of the river to the other, or experience the thrill of free-body challenge on a third-degree rapid. All of this, under the watchful eye of instructors, who will ensuremaximum safety at all times.

The activity lasts a total of 2 hours, of which 1 hour and 40 will be spent navigating the river. At the end of the descent, we will be taken back to the rafting centre, where we can relax and, if necessary, continue the day in the beautiful Valtellina countryside.

Who it is aimed at

This activity is at an intermediate level and is open to all, from 8 years of age upwards. Also suitable for those with no rafting experience, it requires no special swimming skills other than good aquatics.

Warning! Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time of the activity.

This activity is bookable from April to October.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Recommended clothing

• swimming costume
• trainers or neoprene socks (no sandals, slippers or flip-flops)

Don't forget to bring

• towel
• spare shoes
• sleeping bag (if you stay overnight at the rafting centre)
