Full description
Rome, as you've never seen it before, awaits you for arafting trip on the Tiber, right in thecity centre. The city's historical and urban jewels will be shown to you in their usual grandeur but from a new perspective.
FromScalo de Pinedo to Trastevere on the raft for a fun experience and different from the usual. In between paddles, ourexpert guides will tell youstories and secrets of the city and there will also be somerapids to tackle, to give the route just the rightadrenaline rush!
An activity to enjoy with friends or family, to visit the city in an original way or simply to share afun moment in good company!
.What we will do
The meeting point will be at Porta del Popolo in Rome (near Piazza del Popolo, metro stop Flaminio). There we will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. A chat to get to know each other and then a short walk will take us to the embarkation point on the Tiber. We will have a briefing on safety rules and how to behave on the dinghy. After that, we will put on our helmet and life jacket and be ready to set off.
A few paddles to gain confidence and off we go to have fun on the rapids immediately downstream from the bridge. The descent will then continue quietly, gliding on the water away from the traffic and noise of the city. We will penetrate into theheart of Rome, pass under ancient and modern bridges and suddenly, after a bend, the majestic Castel S. Angelo and the imposing "Cupolone" appear in the background! A few hundred metres more and we arrive at Isola Tiberina, where we will take the left branch of the Tiber to tackle the rapids under Ponte Garibaldi and those under Ponte Fabricio, another ancient Roman bridge.
Finally, the atmospheric passage under the only remaining archway of Ponte Rotto will lead us towards the landing at the Porto di Ripa Grande, on the right bank, in the well-known Trastevere district, where we will end the experience with a snack and a farewell drink.
The activity lasts about 2 hours in total.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is of aneasy level. No previous rafting experience is required. The only requirements are to be in good health, be able to swim and weigh no more than 100 kg. You can participate from 12 years upwards. Pregnant women cannot participate.

The activity can be carried out all year round and is aimed at groups of at least 6 people.
Showers and changing rooms are not available.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
