The fascination of the mountains, the fun of motors and the thrill of the snow: all this is Snowmobiling!
From December to April, we organise fantastic half-hour excursions every day aboard powerful snowmobiles, starting from Madesimo and crossing breathtaking views between the ski slopes and snow-covered forests.
Accompanied by an expert guide, this is the perfect activity to enjoy the mountains from an unusual point of view!
Each participant can bring a passenger at no extra cost, the participation fee is per snowmobile.
What we will do
The activity begins with a short briefing where the instructors will introduce you to driving a snowmobile. Once the explanations are over, everyone gets on their snowmobiles and it's time to set off!
Starting from Madesimo,at an altitude of 1550m, we ride the first section of our snowmobile excursion on a perfectly snow-covered track, marked and groomed every day by our snowmobilers.
The track winds its way through a wonderful landscape, initially through an atmospheric forest of fir and larch trees, past ancient huts and then, after some intriguing ups and downs, reaching an altitude of 2110 m.
We stop to admire the first "postcard" of our peaks: a strategic point offering to the south the Val Chiavenna with Madesimo in the foreground, to the west the Gierra del Ferrè glacier overlooking the lake of Montespluga, to the north a rare green beola quarry and to the east the Bertacchi refuge.

.Who it is aimed at
To ride a snowmobile, you must have a B licence. No experience is required; it is an activity for everyone. The excursion is, however, not recommended for pregnant women.
The snowmobile takes 2 adults. Children and young people 6 to 18 years are to be considered passengers, therefore accompanied by the instructor.
Other information
The activity is bookable from December to April.
The price is not calculated per person but per snowmobile. The fee of €95.00 is for one snowmobile and two people (example: 50 participants are spread over 25 double-occupancy snowmobiles).
Important:you must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the time chosen for the activity! If you are late, you will be added to the next available excursion.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is moderate. You get a full refund if you cancel within 8 days from the activity start date. Within 7 and 5 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
