Full description
Learn to ride a SUP with a one-hour individual lesson. Together with an expert instructor, in the beautiful setting of the Salento beaches, you will learn the basic techniques of Stand Up Paddleboard.
This is a water sport suitable for everyone, and involves standing on a paddleboard using a paga. It is a fun activity that will make you experience the sea from a new perspective.
Whether you are a neophyte or a practitioner who wants to improve your technique, you will have the complete equipment and a teacher all to yourself.
What we will do
The activity takes place on the beach in Località Fontanelle, in Ugento (LE). The instructor will welcome you, hand you the equipment and introduce you to the world of the SUP with a brief theoretical lesson before moving straight on to the practical part.
You will begin with a series of ground exercises, which will help you get used to holding the correct position on the board and learning the right movements for a fluent and efficient paddling. After that, you will get into the swing of things with entering the water.
At first you will find it very difficult to keep your balance on the board, so you may start paddling while kneeling. Then it's time to stand up and feel the waves beneath you as you start to move away from the shore, always under the attentive gaze of the instructor.
If you have already had some basic SUP lessons and want to improve your technique, the lesson plan will be adapted to suit your needs and goals.
The activity lasts a total of 1 hour.
Who it is aimed at
This activity is at an easy level, is open to all from 6 years upwards and is adaptable to the participant's level.

Beware! Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance.
This activity is individual and can be done, subject to availability, from April to September.
The equipment is included in the price for the duration of the lesson. If you want to continue practising on the SUP after the lesson, you can rent a board, paddle and life jacket for 15€ per hour.

What happens in case of bad weather?
If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund! If you have set the date of your Gift Voucher and bad weather has prevented the activity from taking place, the Voucher remains valid until the expiry date indicated on it.
If I cancel the reservation, can I get a full refund?
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. You get a full refund if you cancel within 5 days from the activity start date. Within 4 and 3 days from the activity start date you will get a 50% refund. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
